just stumbled upon this website by accident & am very impressed, well done to all you americans out there that love ACD also commonly known as blue heelers in oz or blueies for short us aussies always shorten our words haha anyways well done & keep up the good work blueies are the best dogs on the planet by a long way & i will never have another breed of dog, I currently have 1 2yr old bitch called oakie who is the best blueie I've had, I've had blueies for nearly 30yrs & have had them working farms & also as a house dog as well & they are the most loyal intelligent loving dogs you could find & they just love to go everywhere with there master but they do need a very strong master who is willing to spend the time & effort to train these dogs otherwise they will walk all over you they are definately not the breed for everyone especially lazy people, goodluck to all you americans that have cattle dogs & thanks for supporting the aussie cattle dog you guy's are awesome!

Had Zip since he was 7 weeks old.Now just over 6 months. What a great dog. Full of energy. Loves to fetch a ball or frisby. Still working with obedience training after a 6 week school. Love my ACD

anytime is good for obediance training, once you get their attention they are very fast learners, but they require consistancy and clarity in your commands. my 3 year old Cattle Dog learned to sit at six weeks old, and had learned to fetch withen a week of bringing him home.
